WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Bells Elementary School recently celebrated an incredible achievement as students collectively read for more than 60,000 minutes during their Read-A-Thon. This impressive milestone reflects the school community’s strong commitment to fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning among its students. Classrooms buzzed with excitement as students eagerly tracked their minutes, supported one another, and took pride in contributing to a shared goal.

To celebrate the accomplishment, students were rewarded with a fun and memorable event – taping Principal Dr. Shaun Giberson to the wall! Laughter and cheers filled the room as students participated in this well-earned celebration, creating a moment that will be remembered for years to come.

The event not only recognized the students’ hard work and dedication, but also highlighted the positive, engaging culture that makes Bells Elementary such a special place to learn and grow. Bells PTO sponsored the event with all of the tape that held up Dr. Giberson, with president John Valerio on hand for the special event.

“I could not be more proud of our students for their dedication and enthusiasm toward reading,” Dr. Giberson said. “This achievement shows what we can accomplish when we come together as a school community. I have to say, being taped to the wall was definitely worth it to celebrate their success!”

Many students were worried for Dr. Giberson, however, school nurse Michelle Westenberger, school counselors Danielle DiPinto and Noelle Matthews, and supervisor Jamie Morgan and Dean of Students Christine Sharkey were all on hand to ensure both Dr. Giberson's health and emotional well being.
